This is the first painting I have done after taking a break from work due to some big life changes, moving house, renovating, then sustaining a knee injury, having surgery and not being able to walk properly for a while. It all took quite a toll on my mental health but I'm finally getting back into the swing of thing and everything is slowly improving.
 
I decided to paint a butterfly because, as cringey as it is, I think it's quite symbolic of the whole situation, going through so much change, then finally coming out the other side and hopefully someone else can relate to that too
 
Each fine art Giclee print is individually hand embellished by me, making it a unique, one of a kind artwork.
Hand embellishment allows me to reincorporate some brushwork and texture using metallic, iridescent or heavy body acrylic paint to make it closer resemble the original art work.
